I jot down a few pearls every now and then. Check here for my latest outbursts. Travelling with my trusty laptop, I love writing, doing resumes, bios, business plans and proposals. Contact me if you need help getting that vision out of your head and down in print.
Jazz Is…..
Like an old terrycloth robe, warm, thrown around shoulders
Or like thick cottony socks, cozy to the toes
Whether the sultry, peanut buttery sounds of a saxophone
Or the water warbling fluid Hammond B3 organ that bathes the soul in its glorious sound
Joined with the chilled pink lemonade-like piano keys of a baby grand
And the chisshey, shisshey aluminum brushes against the sexy snare drums.
So jazz is
Intertwining motion of the very wild, the very tame and all the in between moods
Off on a magic carpet ride to the secret places that jazz finds
Jazz creates the limitless playgrounds for our minds and bodies
